Sasha and Max

Dear Diary,

This morning, Sister Mary Claire and I walked to church with Mini. Mini was full of energy and managed to chase a striped gopher into its hole. That was the excitement for the early part of the day.

At Mass, Father LeRoy gave a wonderful homily based on the reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Ephesians. He spoke about how we are called to "put on the new self that has been created in God’s way." Father explained that this transformation is not just about abandoning old habits but embracing a life of righteousness and holiness. He reminded us that living in God’s way brings true joy and fulfillment, urging us to continually strive towards this new self.

After Mass, it was time to take eggs to town. Instead of taking them to the produce center, we decided to peddle them door to door. To our surprise, the first house we stopped at bought all the eggs! Two brothers, Sasha and Max, who have a breakfast business from their home, greeted us. Their names were written in fancy letters on their door. They were thrilled to see our brown eggs and told us they want all the eggs we can produce and would give twice the price we were getting at the egg store. It felt like such a blessing!

In the evening, as the day wound down and I reflected on the homily, I felt inspired to make a greater effort to live in God’s way, just as Saint Paul encouraged.

Evening Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the blessings of this day and for the guidance you provide through your Word. Help me to put on the new self, created in your way, and to live a life of righteousness and holiness. Guide my steps and fill my heart with your love, so that I may reflect your light in all that I do.

Amen.

With Love and Devotion,
Kathy
