Dear Diary,
This morning, Sister Mary Claire and I walked to church in the cold—30 degrees, but it didn’t feel too bad once we got going. The gravel crunched under our feet, and our breath made little clouds in the air. At Mass, I listened carefully to Father LeRoy’s homily, and the words from today’s meditation stayed in my heart: "Abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love."
After Mass, we borrowed Tom’s pickup and delivered another case of eggs—30 dozen! That’s a lot of eggs, and I can’t help but feel a little proud of how well the chicken business is going. Omelette and the rest of the hens are doing their part, and I’m glad the Breakfast Club gets to serve such good eggs. Since we were already there we stayed for lunch. We had waffles with an easy-over egg on top, along with butter and maple syrup. It was warm and filling, just perfect after our cold morning.
As evening approached, Mini and I went down to the cave. She sniffed around, probably looking for Shaggycoat, while I settled in again with my meditation book. I read a page and let the words sink in, especially the part about offering everything to God—our joys, our sufferings, even our little daily tasks. The passage I underlined today asked for a strong, generous, and energetic love, one that strives earnestly and makes faith firm and irrevocable by good works. That struck me deeply. I want my love for God to be like that—steady, not wavering, and proven by what I do each day.
Before bedtime, I wrote a little prayer in my heart and shared it with Sister Mary Claire during our evening prayer by the fire.

O Jesus, may my love for You be strong and unshakable, proven in the way I live each day. Keep me always in Your love, now and forever.
Mini stretched out beside us, her little body warm against my feet. I think she knows prayer time means peace and quiet. I feel peaceful, too, knowing that to love God is the greatest happiness of all.
